The reality of how war touches all of our lives, past and present, is to be told in a week of special programmers commemorating Remembrance Sunday on BBC One Daytime.
Remembrance Week, presented by Rag Wilding (Crime watch, Helicopter Heroes), will feature interviews with people whose incredible stories span decades and conflicts, from the Second World War through to the current Afghan conflict.

Celebrating the courage and bravery of the people involved, it will hear directly from serving and retired members of the UK Armed Forces, as well as civilians and their families. It will also reveal stories from those touched and affected by war in different and sometimes unusual ways, from miners and teachers on the home front, to those who nursed and entertained the troops on the front-line.
.
Each episode will include feature interviews, archive footage, personal photos, and letters and diaries right through to recent conflicts such as the Falklands, Balkans and Gulf Wars.
Rag Wilding says: "Remembrance Week will not only reveal the incredible and emotive stories from individuals who have fought and are still fighting, but also be an uplifting and inspiring series about bravery, camaraderie and companionship. As an ex-soldier myself, supporting our troops is so important to me so I'm thrilled to be presenting such an important series."

Liam Keel an, BBC Daytime Controller, who commissioned the series, says: "BBC Daytime is proud to be devoting a week of special programming to mark Remembrance Day. It will be filled with stories of courage, emotion and sacrifice right through to the present day. The series reflects our commitment to bring the daytime audience more programmers which delve into social history as well as the issues they care passionately about."

Society for the Protection of the Rights of the Child

SPARC is an independent non-governmental organization registered as a society in Pakistan in December 1992 and has been working exclusively on child related issues since then, drawing inspiration from the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

SPARC was established to act as an advocacy group for child rights. From its initial focus on protecting breastfeeding against the marketing of baby milks and foods, SPARC expanded its work to include other issues such as child labor, juvenile justice, education and violence against children. SPARC has also from time to time taken up issues that ultimately affect the condition of children in this country, such as corruption, freedom of association and the “myth or reality” of N Gos.

SPARC has been instrumental in introducing the concept of child rights and in raising issues that were previously not part of the national debate. While realizing the importance of maintaining its independence, SPARC has found it useful to engage the government to convince it to keep commitments and bring about legislative changes where necessary.

"The Economist"

Auguste Comte economists, in the that is experts social science and of economics .He was also known as a professional in the social science discipline of economics .He also study, develop and apply theories and concepts from economics and write about economic policy.
I like most of the views, Ideas and thoughts of Auguste Comte because he was one of the first to exclusively apply the methods of natural science to the study of social phenomena .He believed that human behavior must obey strict laws like billiard balls must obey Newton’s laws of motion (universal-laws conception). Human behaviors have a similar source to those governing the behaviors of natural objects like billiard balls. With these laws in hand, the perfect society could then be engineered .Comte maintained the only legitimate models for knowledge were the natural sciences with their empirical methods and the formal disciplines of logic and mathematics.
Hence, for Comte, the social sciences could not be distinct from the natural sciences, logic and mathematics if they were to truly be ‘Scientific’. He believed sociology would be the last and greatest of the sciences, somehow including and integrating all other sciences into a comprehensive whole. While sociology would be methodologically of a piece with the natural sciences, he recognized an important limitation of quantitative and empirical analysis when it comes to social phenomena: Social phenomena, being more complicated still, are even more out of the question, as subjects for mathematical analysis.

Movie review: “The Joneses”

David and Demi Moore star as a pretend family whose goal is to inspire conspicuous consumption.
In an ideal world, it wouldn't be necessary to reveal the sublime conceit of "The Joneses" in order to review the film. Alas, ours is a realm of planned obsolescence, next big things and false advertising. So for those who, reasonably, require more than a general endorsement of the movie's cleverness, timeliness and strong performances, here goes:
A perfect-seeming family moves into an upscale neighborhood, generating envy and, yes, a scramble to keep up with them. How perfect are they? Dad Steve and mom Kate are played by David   and Demi Moore; the kids are gorgeous Amber Heard (in her best role to date) and handsome Ben Hollingsworth; and they have every shiny new thing high-end consumers didn't realize they needed. The catch? They're not a real family. They're an advertising construct: four ace sales models hired by a stealth marketing company to make everyone around them want everything they have in the hopes of becoming everything the Joneses pretend to be. But when neighbors Larry and summer get caught up on the ever-accelerating status treadmill, disaster threaten.
